EDUCATION:
Attended Pace University in New York from 1977 through 1981. Graduated in 1981 with a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Business Administration.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Began public accounting career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in the Roseland, NJ office in 1981. After moving to California in 1982, worked for a few local accounting firms before joining the firm of Bloomfield, Sonnabend, and Yagan in 1989. Became a partner in the firm in 1991. The firm name was changed to Bloomfield, Slocum & Wechsler in 1993. In 1996, the Bloomfield and Wechsler portions of the firm were merged into American Express Tax and Business Services. In 1997, left American Express and organized Wechsler Accountancy Corporation. Grew the firm quickly and steadily before selling to two of the firm’s partners in 2008. In 2010, Wechsler Accountancy Corporation was reincorporated as a brand new firm. The present firm has now been in existence for just over 7 years and is a full-service CPA practice, specializing in income tax matters for individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses in a wide variety of industries. In addition to all standard tax preparation services, the firm regularly engages in advanced tax planning and consulting for high net worth and high-income individuals and businesses. The initial base of around 20 clients has grown to over 500, solely through referrals and new client development, fueled by a plain English, common sense, creative, forward-looking approach to all client tax and financial matters.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Certified Public Accountant – Passed all parts of Uniform CPA Exam in May 1981. California licensed granted January 1984.

Mr. Potter has performed financial analyses and valuation opinions regarding business entities, options, profit interests, derivatives, and intangible assets for over 20 years. He serves as a Managing Director for Oracle Capital and spent the last eight years at KPMG as a specialist to valuation clients and audit teams in Southern California, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Silicon Valley, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Donald S. Feldman, CExP™, CPA, CVA, ABV, MBA.     

Donald S. Feldman is the founder of Keystone Business Transitions, LLC, a firm based in Lancaster, PA devoted to exit and succession planning for business owners. He has been a CPA for 25 years and a valuation professional for 20 years. For the last 15 years, Don’s practice has focused exclusively on succession and exit planning for business owners, including transfers of business interests to family members and key employees, as well as sales to outsiders. Don has been awarded the designation Certified Exit Planner™ by the Business Enterprise Institute. Don holds a joint M.S. in Accounting / M.B.A. degree from Northeastern University.

Joel Grushkin, Cost Segregation Initiatives (CSI)

Mr. Grushkin is Regional Director of Cost Segregation Initiatives (CSI). Joel brings nearly 40 years of executive experience to the CSI organization. His background includes 11 years with Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young) as a Principal and director of the firm’s Management Services Practice. His cost segregation experience has encompassed studies for developers and owners of commercial real estate, including but not limited to, office buildings, shopping centers, manufacturing and distribution centers, specialty medical facilities, automotive dealerships, hotels, restaurants, financial institutions, multi-family residential, and senior living communities.

Keith Langlands, CPA, Synergy Captives

Mr. Langlands is President and Managing Partner of Synergy Captive Strategies (SCS). With more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector, Mr. Langlands is a leading expert in the captive arena. Martin Staubus, Esq., Beyster Institute                       
Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs)

Mr. Staubus is the executive director of the Beyster Institute, part of the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego, where he advises business leaders on the design and operation of employee stock ownership programs to build stronger companies and provide liquidity to owners. Martin has 30 years of experience in business, having served in varied roles as an attorney, consultant, Labor Department policy advisor, corporate executive, and corporate director. He has served as Associate Director of the ESOP Association in Washington DC and as a director of the National Center for Employee Ownership.
